OLIVER FORAN
Adventurer | Advocate | Speaker
Oliver Foran is an Australian adventurer, world record holder, keynote speaker and resilience trainer whose work explores what becomes possible when people are challenged with purpose.
In 2026, he travelled from sea level to the summit of Mount Everest entirely under human power, completing the journey in 50 days and setting a new world record. His expeditions are shaped by a respect for wild places, rare cultures and meaningful challenge, alongside a commitment to youth mental health advocacy.
Oliver also leads a curated collection of exclusive boutique expeditions globally, offering professionally supported experiences that test the human spirit while allowing clients to encounter nature and culture authentically and respectfully.
Through keynote speaking and resilience training, he shares his Quit Tomorrow philosophy: feel what you are experiencing, remember why you started, use evidence from your past to move forwards, then go one more day.
SEA TO SUMMIT WORLD RECORD
On 1 April 2026, I left the coast of India and set out to reach the summit of Mount Everest entirely under human power. No motors. No shortcuts. Every metre of altitude earned.
The route covered 1,150 kilometres of cycling across India and Nepal, 180 kilometres of trekking through the Himalaya, a forced reroute after altitude sickness on Mera Peak, an acclimatisation climb on Lobuche East Peak and a final summit push on Everest, the highest point on Earth at 8,849 metres.
On 20 May 2026, after 50 days of human powered effort, I stood on the summit of Mount Everest.
This was never just an athletic challenge. It is a platform. Every kilometre I rode and every metre I climbed raises funds and awareness for youth mental health through Climbing for Young Minds. Because if a young person can see that even the darkest valley has a sunlit summit, that matters.
